Coleridge Way

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

The Coleridge Way is a 51-mile trail which meanders through West Somerset and North Devon and features the breathtaking scenery of the Quantock Hills, Brendon Hills and Exmoor National Park.

Beginning in Nether Stowey, the trail links several locations associated with one of Britains best known romantic poets.

In May 2014, an extension of the path was opened. This linked Porlock with Lynton and Lynmouth, completing the route taken by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth in the 1790s. The new path encompasses the villages of Oare, Malmsmead and Brendon, passing through Watersmeet and the East Lyn river valley before reaching Lynmouth.
