Hope Bourne and her Beloved Exmoor - a Guided Walk

Location: Starting from Withypool car park, Withypool; 10:30am - 1:00pm

Join a member of The Exmoor Society for this walk around the Withypool area in the footsteps of Exmoor artist and author Hope Bourne, taking in her favourite views from her writings. A short walk of approximately 3 miles, some parts rough underfoot and steep in places. Bring a picnic or enjoy refreshments at Withypool tea rooms. For more information call 01398 323335. Location: Heddon Valley, near Parracombe, EX31 4PY; 6:00am - 8:00am

Join National Trust Ranger Marcus on one of the special guided walks taking place over four consecutive mornings. Marcus hopes to be able to show you rutting stags with their impressive antlers, but although there is never a 100% guarantee of spotting them, your guide's enthusiasm and knowledge of the local deer population and habitats will make this a fascinating walk, whatever the outcome. A guided 5 mile walk around Dulverton to see the splendour of the local woods in autumn. Well behaved dogs welcome. Mineral Line Ralegh Cross Long Walk

Location: Starting from Ralegh’s Cross Inn, TA23 0LN; 9:45am - 3:45pm

Explore the engineering connected with iron mining and its setting in the Brendon Hills on this walk brought to you by the West Somerset Mineral Line Association. During the 7 mile walk you will visit Beulah Chapel, Brendon village and the Winding House. The route then takes you down to Comberow, through the woods to Leighland Chapel, circling back via a picturesque waterfall. Bring a packed lunch. Booking essential. Early Morning Deer Walk in Rut

Join an Exmoor National Park Ranger on an early morning walk to (hopefully) see/hear Exmoor’s Wild Red Deer during the rutting season. The walk is no more than 3 miles, but over quite steep ground. Half Term Deer Walk in Rut

Location: Location to be advised nearer the time (Simonsbath area): 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Join an Exmoor National Park Ranger to try and locate Exmoor red deer as they come towards the end of the rutting season. This 2 mile walk is on relatively level moorland and no more than 2 miles.
