National Trails & Long Distance Paths

Three of the nation’s favourite long-distance trails converge right here on the North Devon coast. Follow the South West Coast Path as it winds its way around the cliffs of Exmoor or follow the Coleridge Way and Two Moors Way which terminate in Lynmouth.

The Tarka Trail follows the coast for most of its route around North Devon and the Macmillian Way and Samaritans Way (South West) are also near by.

The South West Coast Path

Stretching for 630 miles around the West Country coast from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset.

The Tarka Trail

Follows the route taken by Tarka the Otter in Henry Williamson's book of the same name.

The Coleridge Way

Named after the romantic poet who walked over Exmoor, from his home in Nether Stowey to Lynmouth.

The Two Moors Way

Spanning both Exmoor & Dartmoor the route can extend coast-to-coast with the inclusion of the Erme-Plym trail.

The Samaritan's Way South West

Covers the Mendips and Quantock Hills from the Clifton Suspension Bridge to Lynmouth.

The Macmillan Way South West

Crossing the Somerset Levels and the Quantocks it can be linked with the South West Coast Path at Minehead
